Sand Island Beach Scramble Run/Walk

A Fun Adventure Event: Not Your Typical Fun Run. . .It is even more FUN!


Sunday, August 23rd Noon Start.

Gathering begins 11:30am


Staging / Gathering / Start-Finish Area: At the bottom of the gravel ramp, 200 yards beyond the East end comfort station at the far East end of the parking lots at Rooster Rock Park. This is the far West boandary of the clothing-optional area.


Distance: Approximately 4 miles

Course: On hard and soft packed sand trails, beach, and dunes. Super scenic!


(Dualthalon Option Available with a .25 mile swim portion)


Fee: FREE! Just bring a smile and a trash bag to help clean up any garbage you find along your adventure route.


Awards: Fred Meyer Gift Cards awarded to top trash collectors. Ribbons and other prizes awarded to all finishers.


This is a FREE FUN event helping to promote a nude presence at the East end of Sand Island and bring awareness to non-nudists that Sand Island is to be shared by naturists and 'textilers' in peace and harmony.

  1. Hi, just wanted to make sure the run is still on. I was late for the last Sauvie run, and nobody could tell me that it happened. So before I tell others, I want to be sure.
